H.E. Yousry S. Elgamal
Professor of Computer Engineering, senior advisor at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology, and Chairman of the Computer Scientific Society (CSS), Alexandria, Egypt. He served as Minister of Education of Egypt (2005–2010), Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST, 2010–2014), and senior consultant of the National Telecommunications Institute of Egypt. He is a member of the group of experts preparing the Global Knowledge Index and Chairman of the Information and Communication Committee at the National Committee of Education, Culture, and Science (UNESCO, ALECSO, ISESCO), and Editor-in-Chief of the Advances in Computing and Engineering (ACE) journal. He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alexandria (1968), his M.Sc. from Ain Shams University (1977), and a D.Sc. in Computer Science from George Washington University (1985), and is a recipient of the Richard Merwin Award (1984).
Prof. Ashraf M. A. Ahmad
A distinguished academic and innovation leader in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Data Science, with over two decades of experience. He is a Professor of Computer Science at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) in Jordan and plays a key role in shaping Jordan's digital transformation through national strategic committees, including the Central Bank of Jordan's Emerging Technologies Committee and initiatives of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MODEE). His research spans explainable AI for finance, lightweight cryptography, and AI-driven content moderation. He is also the founder of the Jordan Collegiate Programming Contest (JCPC) and co-led the first Armython cybersecurity competition in the Middle East & Africa.
Waleed Khalil
Managing Partner at Den VC and a prominent figure in engineering, entrepreneurship, and venture capital, with over two decades of experience across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Egypt. In early 2023 he founded Den VC, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in deep tech startups across Africa and the Middle East. Previously a partner at Endure Capital (2016–2022), where he helped secure investments leading to four unicorns: Careem, Boom Supersonic, Tribal Credit, and Aspect Biosystems. He holds a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering from Cairo University and an MBA in finance from the American University in Cairo, where he serves as a Faculty Adjunct at the School of Business.
Prof. Faisal N. Abu-Khzam
Professor of Computer Science and Assistant Dean for Research Collaboration and Partnerships at the Lebanese American University (LAU), and director of LAU's online M.S. in Computer Science program and founding director of the Lebanese Collegiate Programming Contest (LCPC). He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and his M.S. in Mathematics and B.S. in Computer Science from the American University of Beirut. His research spans graph algorithms, combinatorics, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing, including record-breaking kernelization bounds and fast exact and enumeration algorithms for classical graph problems.
Latif Ladid
Founder and President of the IPv6 Forum and a leading advocate for next-generation internet technologies. He is an Emeritus Trustee of the Internet Society (ISOC), leads the IPv6 Ready Logo and IPv6 Education programs, and is a Senior Researcher at the University of Luxembourg (SnT) and a board member in global standardization bodies including 3GPP. He is widely recognized as an international pioneer in IPv6 deployment, IoT, and future networks.
